Hybrid EMI Filtering

Hybrid EMI Filtering Solutions for AC Motor Drives

This project examines designing an innovative hybrid EMI filter for automotive applications in collaboration with a leading automotive company on. This cutting-edge project focuses on developing a two-part solution to address electromagnetic interference (EMI) in the power train's DC side. The first part is an active filter designed specifically for noise reduction in the critical lower frequency range below 1 MHz, where traditional passive filters become impractically bulky and heavy. The second component, a passive filter, efficiently handles frequencies above 1 MHz. This hybrid approach ensures a compact, lightweight, and cost-effective EMI solution, optimizing performance without compromising on space or budget.
