Energy saving control of variable speed ac-motor drives using neuro-fuzzy approaches

Control methods, specially designed for reducing losses in variable speed ac-drives will be investigated. Simulation models of the permanent magnet machine as well as for the induction machine which represent the losses in the machines with a good accuracy have to be developed. The simulation models are to be verified by measurement at real machines. Intelligent methods for controlling flux and torque designed for loss- reduction will be investigated by simulation studies and by measurements at an experimental set-up.
